This 19,000 square-foot new church
facility was designed for the church formerly known as Carrboro
Baptist Church. The program included a 700-seat sanctuary with
a 10,000 square-foot education wing. The church was the first
church in North Carolina to use autoclaved aerated concrete
(AAC), an environmentally friendly building product. |

Durham, North Carolina
This 7,000 square-foot education
wing was designed to add a formal entry to the sanctuary, as
well as, add additional classrooms. The church wanted a strong
architectural design, one that complimented the sanctuary. Aesthetics,
convenience, and budget were the dominating design factors for
this addition. |
